From the first day of the year up to December 31, Rimini and the most lively resorts of the Riviera Romagnola arrange a rich season of concerts and music festivals, which gathers great events, theatrical performances, outdoor representations and a remarkably wide array of music shows.

On the first day of the year, Rimini's music season is inaugurated by Opera, a great show featuring spectacular settings, good music and acclaimed opera singers which is held at the Auditorium of Rimini's Conference Building and is performed again on January 3.

Between March and April, Rimini's Teatro degli Atti hosts Rimini's International Piano Festival, an appreciated music review which every year attracts internationally renowned pianists.

At Easter, for many years now, the nearby hamlet of Bellaria has organized Groove City, an amazing festival gathering plenty of street artists who perform funny shows and original representations. The city's clubs, streets and squares are livened up by groove music and utmost cheerfulness.

During Spring, Montefiore Opera Festival, which is held at Teatro Malatesta in Montefiore Conca, attracts large numbers of opera enthusiasts, who flock here to attend impressive representations of both Italian and foreign operas.
Spring also hosts the important “Crossroads” jazz festival, which gathers internationally renowned jazz bands and singers. This festival has different stages across Emilia-Romagna, such as Rimini and Santarcangelo di Romagna. 

Between July and August, Rimini's fascinating Church of the Augustinian Friars is the seat of “Percuotere la mente” review, an outstanding virtual journey across ethnic and contemporary music which gathers acclaimed interpreters from all over the world.

During the first July week, Rimini hosts Assalti al cuore music and literary festival, which every year proposes a rich programme dealing with artistic experimentations.

The Pink Night is one of the famous events of the Adriatic Coast. Great concerts, shows and music festivals liven up the whole coastline, from Cattolica up to the lidos of Ferrara.

In July, Verucchio Festival gives tourists the possibility to spend ten days listening to good music in an enchanting setting, the church square of the Collegiate Church and Verucchio's Malatesta Fortress. This music festival, which is directed by Ludovico Einaudi, stands out for its high quality and originality: piano concerts coexist with electronic music and international disk jockeys.

Between late August and early September, the prestigious “Sagra Musicale Malatestiana” attracts acclaimed opera singers from all over the world.

The most famous music event on December 31 is the one which takes place just in the heart of Piazzale Fellini and is broadcast live by Rai. It gathers internationally renowned singers and acclaimed music bands.
