Organized by FIDS (the Italian Dancesport Federation) inside the modern facilities of Rimini's Exhibition Centre, the Italian Dancesport Championships take place between end May and early June. They include several competitions gathering athletes belonging to every age group and category, and attract more than 30.000 participants. 

Up to some years ago, the competitions were subdivided into different categories and took place over 20 different weekends. Since 2009, the Italian Dancesport Championships have found the right location and formula, and have become an internationally renowned event lasting 11 days which is hosted inside Rimini's Exhibition Centre, one of the most modern trade complexes in Europe.
