Italia In Miniatura...July 4, 1970! This is the historical date when Ivo Rambaldi inaugurated one of the most famous theme parks in Italy, which gathers outstanding scale reproductions of the most beautiful monuments of the Italian Peninsula.
After 40 years, Italia in Miniatura keeps growing, developing new attractions and arranging plenty of original shows and events.
The original core of the park gathers 270 scale reproductions of the most beautiful monuments and architectural masterpieces of the Italian peninsula, and also hosts a lush green area featuring more than 5000 miniature trees!
It also gathers plenty of further funny attractions, such as the Interactive Driving School, an interesting path of road safety education for children aged 6 to 12, and Cannonacqua, a partial scale reproduction of Rimini’s Castel Sismondo which is equipped with dozens of water cannons!
The most daring ones will have the opportunity to try the canoes flowing on the rapids, the water rollercoaster and Sling Shot, the giant sling that makes visitors reach the height of 55 metres; the quietest ones will have the possibility to go for a panoramic gondola tour across Venice sailing from Grand Canal up to St. Mark’s Square, or to cross the park onboard the Monorail, the exclusive train which dominates the whole park from on high.
Young people will have the possibility to visit the Science Funfair, a big interactive laboratory where it is possible to carry out original experiments, and Pala PlayStation, which is able to suit even the most demanding requirements of the lovers of videogames.
Italia in Miniatura is also scattered with plenty of comfortable relaxation areas, children’s rides, theme restaurants and original refreshment booths.
