AlchimiAlchimie: alchemy, esoterism, magic and more in San Leo

The splendid millenary city of San Leo, the so-called Pearl of Alta Valmarecchia which has recently been included in the province of Rimini, hosts the amazing “Alchimia Alchimie” festival, which is arranged to celebrate Cagliostro in the 216th anniversary of his death.
During this festival, the ancient capital of Montefeltro is livened up by amazing events, dances, dinners, shows and street markets, interesting meetings and wellbeing, spirituality, philosophy and traditions which draw inspiration from the Count of Cagliostro, the icon of free thought and the symbol of a welcoming city which gathers plenty of different traditions and cultures.
These six days are livened up by amazing shows, travelling exhibitions, good music and interesting conventions which revolve around the mystery of the popular alchemist, esotericist and adventurer who is known as Count Balsamo of Cagliostro.
Every day, San Leo’s city centre will stage the so-called “Mercatino Alchemico”: a fascinating path which connects the old town with the major lookout point which is scattered with herbs and flavours, crystals and magic stones, curious handicrafts, fortune tellers, sibyls and astrologists, tarots, candles and talismans.
The impressive San Leo Fortress will turn into the entrance gate to the secrets and mysteries of the spirit, and will give visitors the possibility to undergo special rituals and meditation sessions, as well as to enjoy interesting meetings, displays, exhibitions, workshops, seminaries and specific conventions. The festival will end with a great dinner arranged in the central square and the popular fire of the Fortress.
